The 2 Days 1 Night Alaknanda Quick
Getaway Day Two: Wake up to the cacophony, by river side and after a
good breakfast we head down the Alaknanda to negotiate a great set of
rapids before the end up the convergence of the Alaknanda with the Bhagirathi,
a fine spot with the two merging as you float past the temples of Devprayag.
The rafting today takes some three hours with some impressive rapids
all along this section of river.
The 2 Days 2 Nights Alaknanda Quick Getaway Day One: Reach The Himalayan Outback camp at Maletha by lunchtime. You will be allotted your tent and, after you have had a chance to freshen up you, will be given a briefing about safety on the river, camp and all our activities. The camp is on a fine-looking meadow with a beach along the beautiful Alaknanda River. Spend the evening kayaking in front of camp, rappelling or playing beach volleyball. There are plenty of activities around camp; we can also arrange short hikes around camp. There are also plenty of games, like beach volleyball etc. Later in the evening you can freshen up with a shower, camp style, followed by a bonfire and dinner. The rafting today takes about three hours with some impressive rapids along this section of river. Lunch is served on the banks of the river - tents are available to
change into dry clothing. At this point you are met with your luggage,
which is transported from camp down river in order to save time and
proceed back to your destination after lunch.
The 2 Nights 3 Day Alaknanda Quick Getaway Day One: Reach The Himalayan Outback camp at Maletha by lunchtime. With your morning cup of tea you could try your hand at some Mahseer fishing; this legendry game fish is world famous for its sporting prowess and is certainly worth a shot. After an early breakfast, we head out for some white water rafting, some fifteen kilometers ahead of camp. This section is an exciting one with plenty of Class 2 and Class 3 rapids as you raft through a part of the Srinagar town - through the wide beautiful valley with plenty of opportunities to jump into the river and perhaps even swim through a small rapid. There's even a section for kids (11 years and below), who join us some three kilometers before the camp for some smaller rapids. Raft into the camp, followed by the much-awaited lunch. Activities in camp follow: beach volleyball, kayaking, rappelling and
fishing. Day Three: Another great morning at camp, after a good breakfast we head down the Alaknanda to negotiate another great set of rapids before the end up the convergence of the Alaknanda with the Bhagirathi; a fine spot with the two rivers merging as you float past the temples of Devprayag.
