The Himalayan Outback brings to you a fishing opportunity in August - at a time when most Himalayan rivers are unfishable, due to the rainy season in the Himalayas. We have discovered this one river that feeds into a dam, which is very productive in the month of August, as the Mahseer return from their favourite spawning grounds. Over the years, Misty and his team have had some excellent sport here, especially in this time frame.
The river at the point we fish, meets a lake, an ideal spot to assault the fish on their way down river at the end of the spawning. To make this adventure even more exciting and versatile we use our boats, to take anglers into the reservoir, so you can troll for the Mahseer.
This river offers some good fly fishing, as it is small and you can cover a lot of water, even on a single handed rod.
