The Indian Himalayan region is rich with ancient customs, traditions, shrines, and warm friendly people besides its famous snow-capped mountains. It is home to some the world's highest mountains, areas that truly make it a fascinating and splendid land of adventure.

The Himalayan Outback offers numerous guided adventures, including several treks in the Indian Himalayas, treks that take you to the remote Himalayan meadows, high altitude forests, passes and mountain peaks, offering some of the finest views of the Grand Himalayas.

There's and assortment of interesting treks to choose from in the regions of Garhwal, Kumaon, Himachal Pradesh and Ladhakh. We offer treks of different physical ratings - so whether you are an experienced trekker or a beginner, The Himalayan Outback has treks that are perfect for you.

We aim to make it a unforgettable journey for the fun-loving "Adventurer" of all ages who enjoy the challenge and exhilaration of the outdoor activities that are enhanced by the splendor of the Grand Himalayas.

Our experienced trekking guides accompany you from the start to the finish of your trek along the skyline of the mighty Himalayas. These guides know their respective treks intimately and are bent upon making this "the adventure of lifetime" for our guests.

Ones journey to India is incomplete without an excursion to the Himalayas - and what better way to experience them than to take a trek into the outback of the Himalayas.

Usually these treks begin on the very first day itself. However, for some high altitude treks a day or so is required to acclimatize to the thin air. Our itineraries have been prepared accordingly.

Porters or mules are used to transport the gear from one point of the trek to another, while our guests are accompanied by our trekking guide(s). Packed lunches are usually provided on the trek. Camp is usually set up prior to the arrival of the trekking parties.

Meals are freshly cooked at ever camp site, which include sumptuous breakfasts before the start of the days adventures and well spread out dinners which are a mixture of Indian and continental cuisine.

The Himalayan Outback uses high quality, all season high altitude tents for these treks. These tents are outfitted with inflatable mattresses. We use a dry pit toilet system on these treks.
